Thanks You. Paris Hilton has penned a 'sorry' note to ex best friend Nicole Richie in a bid to end their fall-out. The multi-millionaire heiress wrote the letter to her 'The Simple Life' co-star after mutual friends persuaded her to put a stop to their "petty" row.
A source close to the blonde revealed: "Paris just wanted to call things a day after friends stepped in and told her she was being petty." Neither Hilton nor Richie has disclosed waht caused the rift between the two former best friends.
Seems this missive from Paris is a tad too late. On Thursday it was revealed the pair's hit TV show was axed. The Fox network has pulled the plug on a fourth season of "The Simple Life", saying, in a statement, "We did not see a place for 'The Simple Life' on our schedule this season."
Paris Hilton, 24, and socialite Nicole Richie, daughter of multi-platinum singer, composer Lionel Richie, became famous in 2003 when they removed themselves from their pampered existences to live a simple life with normal families and work regular jobs.
Studio bosses at 20th Century Fox Television are hopeful they may continue the show on another channel, saying, "We're disappointed that 'The Simple Life' will not continue on Fox where it has performed so well, but we believe this series is still a dynamic and valuable franchise."
