    McCain Is A Bettin’ Man What Say You Relgious Right?

    Sep 29, 2008 in You think so

    There are new reports from the weekend that John McCain’s campaign is full of gaming industry lobbyists and gaming industry big players…we wonder what the religious right has to say about this new disclosure? Will they continue to support McCain because he’s not black?

    STOP The Plunder! Call Your Representatives Say No To The Bailout!

    Sep 29, 2008 in You think so

    CALL your Senators and Representative right now to say “No $700 Billion Bailout for Wall Street” – dial the Capitol switchboard at 800-473-6711 or 202-224-3121

    Email Senators and House Representatives

    From CREDO and Democrats.com

    “After a week of high-drama negotiations, Congress and Hank Paulson issued Bailout version 1.1, which is just the original Paulson pig with a lot of lipstick.

    Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson’s Plan to Bailout Wall Street

    Republicans say the deal will be profitable for taxpayers, but they are lying – just as they did about the invasion of Iraq producing lower gas prices. It’s a lie because Paulson has full power to pay too much for the securities and he will because his real goal is a bailout of bank executives and shareholders with our money – a massive ($2,333 per person!) transfer of wealth from the poor and middle class to the rich.

    Democrats say they got oversight, accountability, and limits on executive compensation but each of these provisions is so full of Republican-written loopholes that they are meaningless – just like all other restrictions imposed on the Bush Administration, from Iraq to wiretapping. And that’s before Bush simply negates any restrictions he doesn’t like with one of his unconstitutional (and hence impeachable) signing statements.

    So our answer remains ABSOLUTELY NOT.

    The House will vote on Monday and the Senate will vote on Wednesday. ”

    Buffet Supports Scare Talk To Push Through Financial Bailout Bill

    Sep 28, 2008 in Uncategorized

    According to two sources familiar with the Wall Street financial bailout talks,  billionaire Warren Buffett told congressional negotiators  if they can’t agree on a proposed financial bailout, the nation will face “its biggest financial meltdown in American history”.

    Well guess what Warren? Our sources tell us that the nation is gonna face “its biggest financial meltdown in American history” anyway, whether or not we provide financial types like you a lastchance to grab some cash before it all goes away.

    Too bad the timing for this collapse is off by a couple, three, four months. Had this crisis occurred on January 21, 2009 it would be the new guy’s problem to handle. After all as Baron von Moneypants, Henry Paulson, the Secretary of the Treasury told congress this problem has been caused by the current administration and FUTURE administrations.

    This $700 billion bailout is part of other rescue Wall Street funding provided over the past several weeks including $25 Billion to the auto makers, the money used in saving Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac, that’s about another $200 Billion; plus the money to save AIG about $85 Billion. By our count that’s about 1.5 Trillion dollars –give or take a couple of bucks to help the greedy failed managers continue to plunder and take money from our pockets.

    You can not continue to scare us with your talk of financial disaster. Many are living that nightmare now. The fear mongering was effective to get us ginned up for wars in Afghanistan and Iraq. That was when we were gullible.  We are no longer malleable in that way. We are angry. We are not being heard by those who claim to represent us and our best interests..

    Looks like we’re gonna have to take radical measures to get the attention of the politicians in Washington. We’re mad and we’re not going to take it anymore!

    To paraphrase Benjamin Franklin…Once a certain threshold of passivity has been crossed,
    it becomes easier and easier to trade liberty for a false security. We’re headed toward being undeserving of neither.

    Calling all partiots. Now is the time for all good people to come to the aid of their country!

    MARDU Speaks: Mad As Hell About $700 Billion Rip-Off

    Sep 28, 2008 in Uncategorized

     MARDU has written to Senators from his state to express outrage at the ” looting of the taxpayers by Wall Street”.  The letter published here goes out to both of the presidential candidates, all the members of the House of Representatives, members of the U.S. Senate, the George W. Bush administration,  especially the SEC chief Bernanke and Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson.  We completely agree.  MARDU speaks.
    ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
    I am writing to plead with you not to advance the counterfeiting and looting of the taxpayers by Wall Street,  asking you not to become more complicit than you already are in this theft. There is still time to prevent what will be the end of the USA if you just screw up some courage and say no to Paulson and Bernanke and Bush.
    The bailout plan being considered by the congress right now is a national suicide note. You know it, I know it, and the people know it, we are not as stupid as Wall Street and the executive bureaucracy seem to take us for, they have in effect printed tens of trillions of our dollars in bad debt and now expect us to make that good, and I am here to tell you that if you side with them you will do so at the cost of your job.
    Not only will you not be getting my vote but you will have radicalized the people in a way that nations cannot afford and has not seen since 1775 when Lexington and Concord heard the first shots fired in the revolution. This time the red coats are the bankers and brokers of Wall Street and their congressional and K Street Hessians. (more…)
    Presidential Debate Highlight: McCain Loses Temper
    Sep 27, 2008 in You think so
    Listen closely you can hear JMack swearin’ “horseshit! horseshit!” as he gets properly spanked by Senator Obama for making the gaffe about meeting with Spain.
    We do not want a president who can not modify his behavior; a leader who can not control his temper in a public forum. Good old John McCain’s decision to swear during the response from Senator Obama is rude and very un-presidential!
    Sarah The Terrah She’s A Very Scary Person
    Sep 27, 2008 in You think so
    Now that we know who her campaign speech coach is we can watch the fruit of her labor as Jack Cafferty of CNN provides his take on the interview conducted by Katie Couric of CBS News.
    The segment showing Palin’s response could almost play as comedy if it weren’t a serious political interview.
    Jack Cafferty is right on. All you RePUGlican apologists need not apologize for her performance. Your time is better spent asking her to resign from the ticket.
    Note to Palin: If you’ve seen this footage, please reconsider your position. Be a true patriot and resign from the ticket.
    Obama Is Right McCain Is Wrong….again
    Sep 27, 2008 in You think so
    We liked this segment of last night’s first presidential debate. We knew Senator Obama was correct when he called to our attention the fact McCain’s predictions on how successful the Iraq war would
    be were just plain wrong.
    “John you act like the war started in 2007.” That’s a classic line for us. It’s points out the fact McCain indeed is suffering from an onset of Old Timers disease. Watch the video.
