Jun 27, 2010 in Professional Sports

Recently Rio Ferdinand returned home from South Africa. He got injured before the World Cup after a clash with Emile Heskey and will not be participating in the World Cup for England. Capello had to recall Tottenham’s Michael Dawson to replace Rio Ferdinand. Rio Ferdinand will be working on getting fit for the next season on English football but what can he do in his free time over the summer. Party Entertainment – A Short Guide

    Jun 27, 2010 in Entertainment

Entertaining guests at a party that you are hosting can be a challenge, so let’s look at some possible ideas. Firstly, and most importantly, you need music. There should be music at a party from start to finish. Exactly what you play will depend on the type of party you are having and the tone that you want to set, but you should generally start off with a low tempo and a low volume and steadily build it up. If you are working with a tight budget then CDs will be your only choice. A party with a DJ or a band is normally more fun and memorable though.

As well as having good music, it is a good idea to mix up your entertainment (more…)

A Timely Appraisal Of Smoker’s Rights Vs Children’s Rights

Jun 26, 2010 in Health Care Matters

Many places around the US and even across the world are now considering banning or have banned smoking in people’s own personal cars.

For example, Joshua Bullard, a Houston man who was key in getting the city of Houston to ban smoking at Metro bus and light rail stops, is now trying to get them to ban smoking in private vehicles when children under 18 are present. The British Lung Foundation was quoted as stating that a ban on smoking in cars would be a “natural” progression to the ban on smoking in public places in the UK. Bangor, Maine bans smoking in cars with children. The trend is for a (more…)

How To Reduce Waste And Use Resources More Efficiently

    Jun 26, 2010 in Business

Using fewer resources and reducing waste are things that every business wants to do; why then are most businesses not following through with strategies to help them achieve those goals? The reason is that most businesses have tried out a few waste reducing strategies but have found them to actually end up costing them more (in terms of money and time) than the benefits are worth. It is not that the strategies that they have tried implementing are wrong, but rather that they have not implemented them correctly.

A good starting point is to assess what exactly is being used in your (more…)

Baseball Bats And How They Have Distorted Over Time

Jun 25, 2010 in Major League Baseball

Selecting a baseball bat is a fairly difficult challenge with so many options available. Being a baseball coach for a number of years and within the latest years, I’ve observed that the “golfer” syndrome has been present in baseball.
For example many golfers do not get to work on their sport as much as they like, they consider that by buying the most expertise and best in golf clubs, that their play will routinely improve. There are the super fiber shafts, or over sized heads that value hundreds for every club.

Unfortunately, gamers have caught on to this syndrome. The know-how can definitely assist, but it’s surely not the answer. Gamers have grow to be (more…)
