George Bush Demonstrates How to Increase Public Approval Ratings
President George W. Bush knows just how to improve his ratings among the people. He simply invokes the name of Osama bin Laden about a dozen times. By doing so the people will believe you are effective in fighting the war on terror and bringing the war in Iraq to a close. Way to go Mr. President.
Following the attacks of September 11, 2001, which many now believe was "an inside job" the president promised to capture the villainous bin Laden "Dead or Alive"! This kind of talk ramped up the millions who believed that someone, anyone, in the Middle East needed to be punished for the devastating loss of life on that fateful day.
Seven months after 9/11,in March of 2002 the president expressed to us the fact he was not very interested in OBL:
"I wouldn't necessarily say he's at the center of any command structure....I truly am not that concerned about him."Actually in the following year 2003 George Bush mentioned Osama bin Laden, America's enemy, just seven times.
Fast forward to the U.S. Coast Guard Academy in May of 2007. During the commencement speech delivered by the president, we believe in order to bolster his sagging nearly approval ratings, he invoked the name of the dreaded Osama bin Laden nearly a dozen times. We firmly believe this use of the bad guy's name at a military graduation ceremony was done to pump up the approval among the graduates and their families, as well as among all the people who are now saying George Bush made a terrible mistake by getting the United States involved in an un-winnable war.
Mr. President if you really want to jump start your approval ratings we have a suggestion. Withdraw before we lose any more precious lives. Bring the troops home now!
