Paris Hilton Begins Jail Sentence One Day Early

After hangin' out with the MTV famous and the almost famous for being famous for hangin' out with the almost famous, the famous for being famous Hilton heiress, Paris Hilton, turned herself into county prison authorities in order to begin serving time for violating her probation.

Officers arrested Hilton in Hollywood on September 7, 2006. In January, Hilton pleaded no contest to the reckless-driving charge and was sentenced to 36 months' probation, alcohol education and $1,500 in fines.

On January 15, 2007 Hilton was stopped by the California Highway Patrol. Officers notified her she was driving on a suspended license; she signed a document acknowledging she was not to drive. On February 27, 2007 she was pulled over by sheriff's deputies at which time she was charged with violating her probation.

The 26 year old Hilton, though sentenced by a judge to serve a 45 day sentence behind bars, is expected to serve only 23 days because of a state law that requires shorter sentences for good behavior.

Hilton will be housed in the "special needs" section of the facility away from the general population of the county jail facility.

Democrats Debate: Quotes From New Hampshire

JOE BIDEN

"I love these guys who tell you they're going to stop the war. Let me tell you straight up the truth. The truth of the matter is, the only one that's emboldened the enemy has been George Bush by his policies, not us funding the war."

---

JOHN EDWARDS

On legislation to pay for the Iraq war through September - but without a withdrawal timetable: "Senator Clinton and Senator Obama did not say anything about how they were going to vote until they appeared on the floor of the Senate and voted. They were among the last people to vote. And I think that the importance of this is - they cast the right vote (against the bill), and I applaud them for that. But the importance of this is, they're asking to be president of the United States. And there is a difference between making clear, speaking to your followers, speaking to the American people about what you believe needs to be done."

--

DENNIS KUCINICH

"This war belongs to the Democratic Party because the Democrats were put in charge by the people in the last election with the thought that they were going to end the war. Well, they haven't. They have to stop the funding. And I certainly am urging all of my colleagues here, don't give him any more money. The money's in the pipeline right now, enough to bring the troops home. Let's end the war and let's make this a productive evening."

---

BARACK OBAMA

"Look, all of us are glad that we haven't had a terrorist attack since 9/11, and I think there's some things that the Bush administration has done well. But the fact of the matter is that we live in a more dangerous world, not a less dangerous world, partly as a consequence of this president's actions."

---
BILL RICHARDSON

On the immigration bill pending in the Senate: "There is a touch-back provision. The head-of-household has to go back and then apply. I believe that is unworkable, too. It divides families. But you don't immediately get an amnesty. You don't immediately get citizenship. It is a process that takes about 13 years."

---
HILLARY CLINTON

On the "don't ask, don't tell" policy for gays in the military: "I have watched how 'don't ask, don't tell' has been implemented. And I've concluded that it is not the best way for us as a nation to proceed. It has been in many instances implemented in a discriminatory manner."

---

CHRIS DODD

"This young man is finishing high school. He's assumably going to go on to higher education. I hope you are. Looking at the staggering costs, the ripoffs that are occurring with people manipulating through deceit and fraud the student loan programs, I'd like to see us offer some real opportunities to you financially to give something back to your country. In return, we make it possible for you to get that higher education without incurring a lifetime of debt."

---

MIKE GRAVEL

On gas prices: "We Americans have to grow up. If we want to get off of the dependency on the Middle East we have to own up to the problem. These things cost money. They're controlling our society. And the sooner we stop fighting these wars - here, stop and think: You only see $3. Just watch those wheels turn. There's another $4 - which is what we spend to keep American troops around the world to keep the price. So you're paying more than $7 a gallon, you just don't know it."

Attempted Terror Attack on Fort Dix, New Jersey and JFK Airport

According to the FBI the two incidents recently reported in the headlines are not related. They have been allegedly planned by the so-called terrorists.

We believe they are related as pertains to the recently enacted Presidential Directive. The directive was signed on May 9, 2007. Reports of thwarted terror attempts began anew during the same month. We think there is a pattern of behavior here with the purpose of making George the Dictator in charge.

The government only needs one incident like a weather disaster, or some breech of security to fully implement the law that was recently signed to make George the Dictator--- in Case of an Emergency. Isn't that how all the dictators come into power? Certainly it is the pretense many countries use, the U.S. included, to go to war! Through emergency measures and responses? "It's just a temporary situation. Once we get things under control we shall restore regular governance practices."

GWB, as he instructed the people of New Orleans to "listen to the local authorities", ironically sounded so much like the late religious cult leader Jim Jones when he instructed his followers to drink the Kool-aid concoction that took them to their deaths. We imagine that is how it might be again if George decides to declare himself "Temporary Dictator" to handle a "temporary" emergency that lasts as long as the "temporary invasions" of Iraq and Afghanistan.

George Bush A President Who Knows His Rights and Yours, Too!

We know President George Walker Bush as the president who listens....to your phone calls. George Bush is the president who reads your emails, but misplaces, deletes and otherwise loses his own so you can not know what or whom he is manipulating behind the scenes. He's the president who makes the decisions...the "DECIDER" regarding "extraordinary rendition" as to who is tortured outside of the U.S., in other nations and who is not tortured but simply detained."There ought to be limits to freedom."
-George Bush, May 1999

George Bush is the president who is the "Commander Guy" in charge of whether or not you or a loved one do a third or a fourth tour of duty in a combat zone in Afghanistan or in Iraq.

George Bush is the "Uniter not a Divider" who builds fences to keep the illegal immigrants out and the legal citizens in.

George Bush is the president who knows his rights as president. He lives and governs by the philosophy that says, "If the president does it, it is right. It is legal." He is the self appointed, self annointed monarch, potentate.

George Bush is the president who knows his rights and exercises them as he systematically removes yours and the rights of your children and your children's children for the sake of your protection from unknown external enemies.

The chances that you will see foreign armed forces in our country walking the streets with machine guns. Zero. The chances you will see "American" armed forces walking our streets with machine guns. In New York: 100%. When did we become an occupied country.
