Patti LaBelle, John Legend Phillips Arena Atlanta January 31 2008

Clark Dark has an exclusive report on these two music industry giants.

You will certainly want to be there to see Patti LaBell and John Legend perform in Atlanta at the Phillips Arena, Thursday, January 31st 2008

As you may know LaBelle is considered to be one of the great vocalists of all time. Ms LaBelle has enjoyed a career that has produced five, count'em folks, five number one hits and numerous awards. Last year in 2006 she released album number Three-oh and it was number one on the Gospel Album Charts.

I must admit folks, I'm a fan of this resilient professional. Patti say she admires the young talent of today and is not really iin compteition with them. "Youth has nothing to do with it because I’m not trying to stay young because I’m still trying to love me no matter what my age. I just want to show the world that at 60 you can still record like you're 20. Foremost, the song must always be age-appropriate," she says. "Then I listen to the beat because I have to be moved emotionally. I often find myself being moved by melody and sometimes it's the modulation that moves me. Finally, the lyrics have to be something that I want to say."

Then there is the phenomenal former all-star highly in demand studio session musician, John Legend who will also be performing. Nominated for a stupefying eleven Grammy nominations over two years and winning five of those awards including Best Male R&B Vocal Performance, Best New Artist and Best R&B album, Legend's appearance on that evening will be like seeing two concerts on one stage.

Oh did I mention, this event is a fundraiser to support the programs of the non-profit organizations and public schools funded by the Hands On Atlanta Do Something Good Annual Giving Campaign?

So people of Atlanta you can get your music on in Atlanta and "do something good, too" to revitalize the community. January 31 2008 Phillips Arena..BE THERE!!
