Bad Baseball Pitchers You Love To Bet On

May 11, 2010 in Major League Baseball

April is long gone and we have had a full month of Major League Baseball. Now is the time to look back at statistics accumulated in April and use that to predict what will happen in May. So many trends have already taken form, especially with pitching. So pitching is my focus today.

Today I am going to pick on Gil Meche of the Kansas City Royals. First, let me tell you a little about Meche. He is right handed 6 foot 3 inches tall and weighs 220 pounds. Meche is 31 years old, born is Louisiana and is in his 10th season. This is Meche’s 4th season with the Royals, previously he was with the Mariners.

Meche is not having good season. No, not even close. You see I look for pitchers that are having a season just like Meche is. Then I bet against them until they can turn it around. (more…)

Philadelphia Phillies Win The MLB World Series 4 Games To 1

Oct 30, 2008 in Major League Baseball, Professional Sports

After delaying the game because of bad weather and television officials consideration for the man who may become the next POTUS, the Philadelphia Phillies have clinched major league baseball’s World Series title for a second time. It’s their first championship in twenty-eight years. They bested the Tampa Bay Rays by winning four of the five games played. The major league championship event is determined by the best of seven games.

The last time the team won was in 1980 with the late Tug McGraw as the team’s reliable reliever in a stadium that no longer exists. Not bad fpr the team with the distinction of having lost the most games in the history of the sport.

Just as in 1980 the final game was an exciting one at home in Philadelphia.
Congratulations to the 2008 World Series Champions!

GENERAL STRIKE Friday, November 23rd 2007

Nov 06, 2007 in Business, Civil Rights, College Sports, Communications, Democrats, Education, Entertainment, Foreign Policy, Justice, Major League Baseball, Media, National Football League, Professional Sports, Republicans, Technology, US Politics, We Think, You think so

We think strikes and demonstrations along with boycotts are very effective means of telling the powers that be how We The People generally feel about the management and leadership being provided for our nation.

On October 17th 2007 it was Shut It Down. On November 2nd 2007 it was Consumer Black Out. We now suggest we pick up the baton from writer Garret Keizer of Harper’s Magazine, who suggests November 6th as a date for a strike, by organizing a General Strike on Black Friday, November 23rd 2007, the day after Thanksgiving.

This is an uber powerful idea from our leader Henry T. Gandolph, Site Administrator.

Henry is a very wise man. He has come up with a solution to the quandary of when a general strike would have the most impact, and we really like the idea.

Henry says, “For the most impact, Friday, November 23rd would be the best day for a general strike! If everyone boycotts the stores it will send the whole country into a panic. If sales people refuse to work, how will they even open the stores? The whole Christmas sales season is prognosticated upon the the day after Thanksgiving sales. If We The People just withhold our holiday shopping on that day, We The People would surely get the media attention and the attention of the whole country including our political dictators. ” (They may not be 100% dictators in the classical sense but they truly love to dictate what we will do.) Bank of America The Bank of Opportunity Now The Bank That Cares

Oct 17, 2007 in Banking/Finance, Business, Civil Rights, College Sports, Communications, Democrats, Education, Justice, Major League Baseball, Media, National Football League, Professional Sports, Republicans, Technology, US Politics, We Think, You think so

We’ve been hearing from our sources that Kenneth D. Lewis, Chairman, CEO and President of Bank of America Corporation, known as the “Bank With the Opportunity to Take Advantage of You”, will soon be announcing a change of strategy with the rebranded slogan “The Bank That Cares”. Hard to believe but we’ve been told by our sources Bank of America has had a rather extreme change of heart and will soon be announcing a new program to benefit any customer, current or past, who has been over charged with erroneous Not Sufficient Funds, mortgage or credit card fees.

Sources tell us customers need only visit their local banking center and speak to the manager to have their concerns addressed and receive an immediate refund. (more…)

General Strike October 17th or November 6th?

Oct 15, 2007 in Business, Civil Rights, College Sports, Communications, Democrats, Education, Entertainment, Foreign Policy, Justice, Major League Baseball, Media, National Football League, Professional Sports, Republicans, Technology, US Politics, We Think, You think so

There have been calls for a general strike from several quarters of our diverse political community. October 17th or November 6th

Garret Keizer, contributing editor for HARPER’s Magazine suggested we citizens organize to send a strong message, loud and clear to our government that what they’ve feared all along has become a reality. Why else would there be a Patriot Act?? but to protect the government from its own citizens. These laws were not imposed on the citizens of another country.

We The People are mad as hornets in a nest that’s been stirred up. We’re not gonna to take it anymore. Enough is enough! Finally! Americans are fed up with the lies. (more…)

October 17, 2007 SHUT IT DOWN!

Oct 12, 2007 in Business, Civil Rights, College Sports, Communications, Democrats, Education, Entertainment, Foreign Policy, Justice, Major League Baseball, Media, National Football League, Professional Sports, Republicans, Technology, US Politics, We Think, You think so

You may have read about the idea here or in an article by Garret Keizer a contributing editor for HARPER”s Magazine. In the October 2007 issue of the magazine Keizer makes the suggestion, one we believe is an excellent one, to hold a general strike to express our displeasure with the present administration, the congress and its policies.

Sick of it all are you? Iraq, Afghanistan where our young men and womane are dying to fill the pockets of those who already have too much? New Orleans where established families have been displaced and insurance companies cry, “I’m sorry you were not covered for those damages.” Incredulous about Jena Louisiana and the fact the town seems caught in a time warp remeniscent of 1937 Dixie?

Do you feel helpless to affect change in policies? There is something You can do. Express your disapproval of the system. Get the attention of the powers that be. All of us. Black white, Latino, Asian, Native Americans, immigrants legal and illegal. Workers, middle management, blue collar, white collar, laborers, low level executives. ALL OF US! You do not need to go anywhere to participate you can do this from you hometown, or your place of work.

SHUT IT DOWN OCTOBER 17, 2007!

We are plagued with unjust sentencing of juveniles and adults regardless of ethnicity. Our elderly face declining healthcare services with exorbitant prices for treatment and necessary drugs. Corporations no longer are beholding to the people who make it possible for executives to make 500 or 600 times what the average working stiff earns annually. Our children are in need of health insurance coverage as well as a decent education in order to perform basic reading and math to get them through a lifetime. If you are dissatisfied with restrictive laws, police brutality and security guards gone rabid, with so called security to provide the illusion of homeland security….you need to SHUT IT DOWN OCTOBER 17, 2007!
