    In this article, we discuss some facts, statistics, and negative aspects of a universal health care plan for America. Real health care reform is a complex issue; therefore it’s not possible to cover every aspect of universal health care or reform of the current system in this short article. However we will cover as much ground with the limited space available.

    Believe it or not, America boasts some of the world’s best doctors, the most advanced health care system, and the most technically superior resources in the world, bar none. Those who travel globally and have gotten sick know  their first choice for treatment would be in the U.S.  Though health care in America is, more expensive than any other country, many of the worlds wealthiest come to the U.S for surgical procedures and complex care, because it holds a worldwide reputation for the gold standard in health care.     After over a year of battle against the Republicans, Fox News, the Tea Party, and the health insurance industry, President Barack Obama and the Democratic Party were finally able to make the Health Care Reform Bill the new law of the United States.

    It is hard to overstate the importance of the health care victory for President Obama. It’s a legislative victory so big that it boosts Obama into the debate about the greatest American Presidents of the past 100 years.     Cure Panic Attacks – Important Treatment Plans To Overcome This Disorder

    Are you the individual who has experienced panic attacks lately in your life? I know what you are going through, as these attacks were a big part of my life back in the late 1990’s. Your body will suffer extensive damage if you decide to do nothing about it. If you really want to cure panic attacks, there are some key treatment plans that you should be aware of to overcome this disorder.

    If you have been suffering from these attacks lately, your doctor may have put you on some type of medication to help ease the symptoms. Did your doctor happen to explain to you that prescription pills will not permanently eliminate your attacks? I hope so because over an extended period of time, placing a pill into your mouth twice a day may do even more damage to your body. Medication simply does not provide the solution for why you are having your attacks.

    Retirees Returning To School

    If you are coming back or going to school for the first time, you are not alone. Scores of retirees are returning to school and hitting the books. They have determined it’s never too late to learn.

    While you may not feel you integrate with your 18 -year-old fellow students, it all adds to the educational experience. Many older students have returned, not to necessarily earn a college degree, but to educate themselves and keep their minds sharp.

    Many schools are providing seniors discounted or free tuition because they have unfilled spaces in the classroom. So students don’t have to use their pensions in order to boost their knowledge. (more…)

    Designer of First Successful PC Henry Edward Roberts Dead in Macon, Georgia

    He is known as an engineer, entrepreneur, and later in life a medical doctor. He will forever be known as the designer of the first commercially successful personal computer the Altair 8080.

    In 1975 Henry Edward Roberts, called “Ed” by friends, family and associates, through his company Micro Instrumentation and Telemetry Systems or MITS; brought his computer to the public with the help of Bill Gates and Paul Allen who developed the language, BASIC, and wrote the program to operate the machine.

    Ultimately  Roberts’ machine would become the PC we’re all using today. The BASIC language of the machine’s operating system (OS) has become the Microsoft Windows operating system we all know and some love to hate. (more…)

    Hospitalists: New Medical Specialty With Patients’ Overall Condition In Mind

    Dr. Edmondo Robinson is medical doctor with an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania. He is an internist who completed residency at the Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. A 2003 graduate and Dean’s Merit Scholarship recipient of the University of California, Los Angeles, School of Medicine,  Dr. Robinson participated in an AIDS Care Fellowship at the University of California-San Francisco AIDS Institute while attending UCLA. He also served as National Vice President for the Student National Medical Association and was an appointee to the National Board of Medical Examiners.

    Dr. Robinson earned a master’s degree in business administration, with an emphasis in healthcare management, from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, during a two-year leave of absence from medical school. During his studies at Wharton, Dr. Robinson traveled as a member of a team of students and alumni to South Africa to make an assessment of state-sponsored, community clinic operations for the Director of Health Services for the Cape Town Metropolitan Region.

    Dr. Robinson graduated from Wharton with honors in 2002. He completed his undergraduate degree in Neuroscience at the University of California, San Diego, in 1997. His research interest involves the development of indicators to measure the value and quality of health care delivery to special populations. One can readily see Dr. Robinson’s credentials make him eminently qualified to be a member of the medical profession’s newest specialty. Dr. Robinson is a hospitalist. His practice is near Delaware’s Christiana Care Health System. (more…)
