The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King is an incredible addition to the fantasy adventure trilogy. To say the truth, The Lord of the Rings portrays greatly the grueling battle between good and evil. The main characters in the film are inspiring and the plot is action packed. The transition from a book to film worked quite well because the characters portray those in the book and the plot refrained from straying from that in the book. The third film is said to be the most interesting, action-packed and inspiring movie in the trilogy. It is the perfect capping to the series. The war scenes in the movie capture the feeling of an immense crowd waiting for war. The effects both visual and audio are impressive.
The plot takes place in a fantasy land Middle Earth. This land is inhabited by many creatures, including Elves, Hobbits, Goblins, Men and many others. In the land of The Shire, Frodo Baggins discovered a mysterious artifact – the One Ring. Soon he learns that this ring is the most coveted and lethal possessions in all the Middle Earth. Aside from this, Frodo learns that if the Ring finds its way into the minions of the dark’s hands, there will be no hope for the rest of the inhabitants of the Middle Earth. And the only way to survive is to destroy the One Ring. In order to destroy the One Ring it has to be casted into Mount Doom, which is controlled by the minions of the dark lord Sauron. And he forms a small fellowship and they set off to destroy the ring. In the first two films it captures how Frodo together with his companions fight towards Mount Doom. However the fellowship is broken up, but still the companions continue to work towards guarding Frodo and his quest. In the third film, you can view the ending to the epic trilogy, as Frodo shows that you can find a brave soul in even the smallest creatures.
To say the truth, The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King is the ideal conclusion to an action-packed, brave and love-filled trilogy. Frankly speaking, J.R.R. Tolkien is one of the most inventing writers as well as he managed to create one of the most inspirational and interesting stories in the last century. The transition from the book to film flowed well since the characters are mirror images and the plot is similar. It is inspirational to watch the adventures of small creatures as well as all the characters are unforgettable. The plot will keep you on the edge of your seat throughout whether you are in tears or in a transfixed state.
