Clark Dark With Entertainment News

Now it's time to hear from our senior reporter, Clark Dark, who has some very interesting celebrity news. Clark?
Thanks You.
  • First up: Maury Povich's current affair. According to court papers filed on Monday, Bianca Nardi, 28, of Fort Lee, N.J., a producer for nearly six years for Povich's tv talk show, says she has been the object of intense sexual harassment. In her $100 million law suit Nardi says she was barraged with sexual remarks and made to watch porno movies and expose her body. As you may know Povich is married to Connie Chung. In the suit Nardi also alleges the sexually charged atmosphere among the show's production staff was fostered by the "intimate and sexual relationship between defendants Maurice Richard Povich and Donna Benner Ingber." Nardi further states in court papers that Ingber, who is also named as a defendant, "many times in an intoxicated condition, telephoned (Nardi's) residence at all hours of the late evening to discuss her personal relations with defendant Povich (and other men whom she was secretly seeing)" and to ask Nardi what staffers were saying about the relationship. In addition to Povich and Ingber the lawsuit names Paul Faulhaber, executive producer of "The Maury Povich Show,"; NBC Universal Television and Povich's production company, Mopo, as defendants. Nardi is seeking at least $100 million in compensatory and punitive damages. Sounds like Maury should have gone home after the show. Perhaps Povich and company will be booked for an appearance on "The Jerry Springer Show".

  • Paris Hilton, my favorite party girl heiress, admits she's "...obsessed with poker. It’s my favorite game. I’m really lucky in Vegas, I always win." Though Paris is "obsessed" with the game she does not always win. In fact, recently Paris lost her $200,000 Bentley Continental to the winner of a poker game in which she bet the car. The worst part was that she lost the game (and the car) in her own family’s casino in Las Vegas, Nevada, U.S.!

  • Finally, ...though Jessica Simpson's dad says she just loves the president, Jessica Simpson turned down President Bush's invitation to attend a Republican fundraiser during her visit to Congress last Thursday to lobby for Operation Smile, a nonprofit organization that provides reconstructive surgery to children with facial deformities. Joe Simpson, Jessica's father said, "When it became obvious that it was not just a state dinner, it was more of a fundraising event — that is the wrong purpose of why we are here."

For the life of me I just do not understand the fascination with either Paris Hilton or Jessica Simpson. Neither is really talented in or at anything except the ability to get as far with what they have as possible which is nothing. As far as substance--that amounts to 0-zero. Talent, real talent , again 0-zero..(of course in my opinion). One has wealth she never earned a penny of and because of her name. And the other has --as her Dad put it 'double-d's' and a great dental plan. This is who is made icons of beauty and style? Celebrity? It's a mess.
