Ike Turner Dead At Age 76-Tina Tuner's Ex Husband

Legendary R&B musician loved by some, reviled by many, Ike Turner age 76 died last week in his home near San Diego, California.

Scott Hanover, a representative from Turner's management company, announced last Wednesday December 12, 2007: "Ike Turner passed away this morning. He was at his home."

Ike Turner is the former husband of the sensational Tina Turner, who name was changed from Anna Mae Bullock to Tina, by her then husband Ike Turner, performed and recorded hits such as "River Deep Mountain High", "Nutbush City Limits" and "A Love Like Yours".

Tina and Ike divorced in 1976 and according to her sources have not had contact for many years. Reports indicate Tina Turner will not be in attendance for her former husband's final services.

A public viewing will be held in Los Angeles on Thursday, with funeral services scheduled for Friday in Gardena, California.
