NEW: Bank Of America’s No Lawsuit Clause
We recently heard from a reliable source the latest sleazy policy from Bank Of America is to have a consumer sign paperwork when opening an account which includes a clause stating the consumer will not file or join any class action lawsuit against Bank Of America.
We’re wondering why a venerable institution like Bank Skank of America would require its customers to sign off on such an agreement.
In what is it the bank is doing to expose them to a possible class action lawsuit? Could their lawyers be paranoid about being sued? Does legal counsel for Bank Of America believe something illegal is being done to cause outraged consumers to sue? Geez! It wouldn’t be the first time; and furthermore some would consider it is the price of doing business in today’s litigious market place.
We believe such an agreement would not be necessary if banks would do they job they were originally intended to do. That job is to protect the consumers’ deposits with integrity rather than the standard of today, greed and avarice.
