Exclusive from GIRL6: News About Janet, Mr. BIGS, Star, Oprah...

I'm Clark Dark, ace investigative reporter for YouThinkWhatdotCom, here to introduce my protege GIRL6. She's got some exclusive entertainment news. Girl6?
Thanks, Clark. First up Janet Jackson: (Hello??—Miss Jackson if ya Nastee!) will be everywhere. She has cut her hair (well I haven’t seen that myself) and lost the weight (which we all have seen- Gurl, still waiting on the digits of the trainer. Call me J). The anticipated new album, "20-years old" is scheduled for September release. In that same month she is scheduled to be performing LIVE! on The Today Show. Janet (ahem, Miss Jackson) will be touring in support of the album. The first single is titled "Call Me", and if it sounds familiar, it’s because she sampled the 1984 Sheila E hit "The Glamorous Life". (that’s what I’m talkin’ ‘bout—Ole Skool represent!..calm down Girl, calm down!) BTW Miss Jackson says she gained weight because she was being considered for a role in the upcoming movie "Tennessee", which she ultimately had to pass on because of the new album.
"They (the producers) wanted to see me in a different light, as a heavier woman,"
The 40-year-old singer,Jackson, who weighed about 180 pounds at her heaviest, said this according to US Weekly magazine in an issue that hits newsstands Friday.
"The timing didn't quite work with trying to finish my album, and unfortunately I wasn't able to do the film,"
She is also quoted as saying in the magazine. (The role went to Mariah Carey.)
"So I found myself having to take this weight off a lot quicker than I had planned."

And now speaking of "Ole Skool":
No jail time yet for singer Ronald Isley (Mr.Bigs) of The Isley Brothers. The sentencing phase of his IRS tax trial has been postponed for a second time. Isley faces up to 26 years in jail for tax evasion and for cashing his late brother’s royalty checks. The Isley Brothers released a new album recently entitled "Baby Making Music".

Now, DO NOT quote me on the following. I am just repeating something here and have not "heard" anything :

Word has it Star Jones may be replaced by Oprah Winfrey’s best friend Gayle King on "The View". Gayle will probably take over the role that is being exited by Meredith Vieira. Before she became known as Oprah’s best friend, Gayle was a news reporter. Producers want someone with a news background on the show.(Some say, if it's true it's a coup by Oprah and Rosie O'Donnell who will one of the co-hosts on the show when Viera leaves.)
Clark—you may want to decide whether or not the above bug is really worthy of reporting. Personally I hadn’t "heard" nothing 'bout Star leaving The View—you??

Anyway—that is all that is flowing in this Girl’s ear to yours this week and hope you find it all worthy to report!

Girl6 out!

I don't care what they say about Janet and all her issues with weight and everything else--when she knows she has to come forth with it, when she goes away and then we hear she's making a move, when she knows she must continue to be a force in her business after all she has given and contributed as an artist--she brings it! And it's all inspiring. She may be 40 now but she is still that cute little girl who followed behind her brothers and did it BIG TIME and did it her way and with perseverance and hard work. Young girls--watch closely. This is how it's DONE!!!
