MOREHOUSE COLLEGE CLASS OF 2006: 600 Reasons to Abolish the N-word

"Education is favorable to liberty. Freedom can only exist in a society of knowledge. Without learning, men are incapable of knowing their rights. And where learning is confined to a few people, liberty can neither be equal nor universal." - Benjamin Rush-Founding Father
In May of this year Morehouse College graduated 600 wonderfully, talented good citizens of black African descent into our society. It was the largest class of young men graduating from this historic college established in 1867 during a time when it was illegal for blacks to be educated.

The Wall Street Journal listed Morehouse College as one of the top colleges in sending students to some of the most elite professionals schools in the nation.

We say to these 600 beautiful young black men, and to all of the young black men in our nation who have chosen to take advantage of an opportunity to be educated, you are the heart, soul and hope of the community...
Each and every one of you is a reason why we all should work to
abolish the N-word!
