Salute to Joey Chestnut New Nathan's 2007 Hot Dog Eating Champion

As our regular readers know we've been fans of Takeru Kobayashi the former Nathan's Hot dog eating champion for six years running. Why last year, Kobayashi, the Japanese champ set the Nathan's Coney Island contest record by chomping down 53.75 dogs and buns in just 12 minutes.

This year he was toppled from his throne by 23-year-old civil-engineering student Joey Chestnut. Chestnut, an American a competitive eater from San Jose, has won the Yellow Mustard Belt at the 2007 Nathan's 'Hot Dog Eating Contest' in Coney Island Brooklyn, downing a record-breaking 66 hot dogs with buns.

Congratulations to JOEY "Jaws" CHESTNUT upon his "hot dogging" success in this year's competition.

The Nathan's Coney Island contest is an annual tradition held on July 4th in Coney Island, Brooklyn, New York.
