Emmitt Smith-Cheryl Burke Winners of Dancing With the Stars!

Three-time Super Bowl champion running back Emmit Smith along with his professional dance partner Cheryl Burke

are the winners of this season's reality tv program Dancing With the Stars.

Smith and Burke bested television host, and former Saved By the Bell actor, Mario Lopez and his partner, to win top honors after 16 weekes of gruelling competition.Included among the other competitors in the series was talk-show host and former mayor Jerry Springer.

Smith, who was inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame earlier this year, impressed the public whose vote counted for 50 percent of the votes by being proficient in many styles of ballroom dances such as the quick-step, the waltz, and such Latin dances and the rhumba, the tango and the cha-cha.

Congratulations to both Cheryl Burke, who was last season's winner as well when she danced with Drew Lachey-brother of Jessica Simpson ex-husband Nick Lachey, and to Emmitt Smith whom we expect to be inducted into the Professional Football Hall of Fame when he becomes eligible in 2010.
