You Think What?

On this Memorial Day 2008 we commemorate the life of and the inspiration provided by the late Sgt. Merlin “Miracle Man” German, USMC.

You can read here about this phenomenal young man, an esteemed Marine NCO, who died last month after surviving injury, burns over 97 per cent of his body, sustained three years ago while serving in Iraq. He was an inspiration to nearly everyone he met. His legacy lives on in the foundation he established to help others injured as he by serious burns, before his death which came after one more surgery to help heal his burns. (more…)

We’ve come up with some fantasy suppositions. We think you might be amused by these thought provoking ideas. How many do you believe have the possibility of becoming reality?

Let’s begin with politics. Suppose Senator Hillary Clinton, (D- New York) would announce she concedes to victory Senator Barack Obama, (D-Illinois)?

What if Barack Obama were as old as John McCain? What if John McCain were black? What if Hillary Clinton were a man–a black man as old as John McCain?

What if John McCain declared he is the 2008 Republican version of a political “flip-flopper” and that he really does not know what he does not know?

What if George Walker Bush told the truth? Suppose he announced he is not a man of the people–never was, never will be.

Suppose Senator Clinton announced that neither she nor Senator McCain are what their spin doctors say they are? “Senators Clinton and McCain today announced they are from wealthy elitist backgrounds. They admitted to making disparaging remarks about the rank and file working class voters.”

What if Reverend Jeremiah Wright’s comments were accepted by Senator Obama as being valid? What if sometime in the future Wright’s remarks are viewed as the catalyst for getting an earnest productive dialogue on race in the United States started?

What if Paris Hilton were really just a hotel edifice in France and not a person?

What if both the Spears’ girls were returned to their trailer park to live a life of anonimity?

What if R. Kelly’s fans got a clue and acknowledged the man has a problem?

Suppose the owners of the National Football League decided to recind their decision to reject the current Collective Bargaining Agreement with the NFL Players Association? Sharing the profits at a 60-40 split with the players is good for everyone.
 

Word on the street is demoted Ohio State Trooper Sgt. Eric E. Wlodarsky and Trooper Craig T. Franklin, have been terminated from their law enforcement positions as a result of what has been termed by other media outlets as a prank involving a KKK costume. (more…)
