Merry Christmas to everyone around the world.
At this time of year there is much talk about a star. We turn our eyes toward the heavens.
Here is Robert Frost’s poem about a star.
CHOOSE SOMETHING LIKE A STAR
O Star (the fairest one in sight),
We grant your loftiness the right
To some obscurity of cloud –
It will not do to say of night,
Since dark is what brings out your light. (more…)

For the one person in your circle of friends who doesn’t believe driving drunk is dangerous a new accessory for the iPod or iPhone was designed to help that person make the decision whether or not to drive after downing a few cocktails or beers at the office holiday party, before climbing behind the wheel.

David Steele Enterprises’ calls it the iBreath ($79). This accessory lets iPod or iPhone users test their own blood alcohol content. This is not a joke. (more…)

This is the Bush family’s final Christmas in the White House. As their gift to the nation along with a failing economy and two wars in far away places that our country can not possibly win without completely obliterating the planet, the family has recently released a video of the White House holiday environment from the canine viewpoint of Barney–White House terrier and his companion female terrier. For the first time in 42 years a sitting governor of the great state of Florida got married.
On, Friday, December 12, 2008 in an early evening ceremony in St. Petersburg, Florida Republican governor Charles Crist exchanged vows with socialite millionaire Carole Rome. Crist promised to love, cherish and honor his new wife, the president of her family’s Halloween costume company, in the presence of family, friends and political associates at the First United Methodist Church.
This is the second marriage for both the governor and the former Ms Rome.
While invited guests helped the newly weds celebrate their union, a few protesters organized by Impact Florida gathered in the park across the street from the church to demonstrate their displeasure with the fact gays in Florida can not enjoy the same freedom to marry the one they love.
