Reports of Voter Suppression In North Carolina and Texas

Oct 20, 2008 in You think so

Recent incidents of voter suppression in North Carolina and Texas have been reported.

What is voter suppression? According to the Wikipedia it is the use of governmental power, political campaign strategy, and private resources aimed at suppressing (i.e. reducing) the total vote of opposition candidacies instead of attempting to change likely voting behavior by changing the opinions of potential voters. This method is particularly effective if a significant amount of voters are intimidated individually because the voter might not consider his or her single vote important. (more…)

VOTE Early! Steal Back Your Vote Says Greg Palast and Bobby Kennedy

Oct 20, 2008 in You think so

According to investigative reporter Greg Palast and law professor Bobby Kennedy, Jr. there are scum sucking low life election cheaters out and about who are ready to repeat the theft of our votes. In  the presidential elections of 2000 and 2004 we heard of the disenfranchisement of voters in Florida and Ohio. Now we are told it could happen in any of the remaining forty-eight states including Alaska!

What to do? VOTE EARLY! All states permit early voting. In Florida early voting begins today. In some other states early voting began last week.

Whatever you do, do not vote by mail. Kennedy and Palast say their research shows that votes by mail most often are Never Counted, especially votes from predominately black and urban areas.

So vote early. Voting early is the solution to preserving democracy in these United States so you can be watchful on election day to illegal challenges and attempts to provide provisional ballots that never get counted.

    White Man’s Burden From 23/6

    Oct 20, 2008 in Uncategorized

From the video comedy web site 23/6, contributor Mystical Mel found this interesting cartoon. The title discloses the topic, White Man’s Burden.

This year’s political campaign has allowed the people of the United States to speak openly and honestly about race. We may not always agree, but at least we’re talking about it

Sarah Palin: We Hardly Know Ye! Tell Us Who YOU Really Are

Oct 13, 2008 in You think so

As the weeks wind down toward the end of the presidential race and the McCain campaign continues to ask the question, “Who is Barack Obama, really?” we are compelled to ask “Who in the world is Sarah Palin?”

    wink-sarah-oct2008.jpg

We’ve been getting to know Barack Obama, his wife Michelle and their darling daughters, for nearly two years. We’re not disappointed with what we’ve seen of their display of poise and character under pressure. Not surprisingly to many we deem Obama very presidential. We are dismayed with what we’ve noted about good old John McCain and company. We say JMack should spend some of Cindy’s money to enroll in charm school. He’s not very presidential. He’s not even very good model of a congressional representative.

We’ve only known of McCain’s choice for veep of scant five or six weeks. We’d like to know where she gets off asking about Senator Obama when she, Sarah “Pit Bull in Lipstick Hockey Mom” Palin
is completely unknown to us. As Jon Stewart said she’s come out of the back woods. She’s definitely an unknown quantity on the national political scene. She was known as a popular governor, but not a really bright star on the political horizon. We’re hoping she’ll be as memorable as Mary “France” LeTulle. (more…)

Obama Predicted Republicans Low Down Dirty Campaign

Oct 10, 2008 in You think so

In the following video from JedReport we are reminded it was Senator Barack Obama the Democrat running for POTUS who predicted back in July 2008 the sometimes loyal opposition would give negatory. Last week it was even announced by the McCain campaign officials the plan for the next several weeks is to be all negative, all the time despite the impending economic disaster. It was reported the Obama campaign is about 30-35 percent negative on the scale which measures which candidate is less positive and continues to discuss the issues foremost on the minds of Americans.

As you will see in the video, the actions of the desperate, provides proof of this prediction as a reality:

Is John McCain In Need Of Anger Management Therapy?

Oct 09, 2008 in You think so

Many of us have heard about John McCain’s inability to control his anger. There have been whispers during this campaign of how he angrily and in a public display disrespected his wife calling her nasty names.

Journalists and politicians who’ve worked with McCain, along with constituents and military professionals have all attested to his incapability to manage his anger;  this character flaw has not been fully disclosed to the public. (more…)

Presidential Candidates McCain And Obama Post-Debate Activity

Oct 08, 2008 in You think so

There are some in the Blogosphere who would say there was a less than civil exchange between the two candidates and their wives following the debate on Tuesday evening in Nashville, Tennessee.

Our cracked team of researchers have found video from C-Span’s video archive to dispel any notions of rancor that may have been read into what took place following the second presidential debate between Republican John McCain and Democrat Barack Obama. (more…)

Palin Newsweek Cover: Up Close Pores, Wrinkles And Blemishes

Oct 08, 2008 in You think so

We think the Newsweek cover picture of John McCain’s running mate, Governor Sarah Palin (R-Alaska),  is just perfect.

If we had been making the photo selection we would have chosen this one because it shows La Palin to be “just like us.”… age lines, wrinkles and blemishes. No air brushing, no PhotoShop manipulation. Just feisty, * spunk filled Sarah Palin Republican politician up close. (more…)
