Gwen Ifill Profile of Moderator For Tonight’s Veep Debate

Oct 02, 2008 in You think so

The moderator of tonight’s Vice Presidential Debate is Gwen Ifill. Ifill is an experienced and knowledgeable journalist who currently works for PBS. There is some made up controversy about the book she is writing. The book’s subject is politics in an age when educated blacks are aspiring to and achieving high levels of success in the field of public service.

A few McCain supporters believe as the moderator of tonight’s debate between candidates  Palin, the number two on the Republican ticket, and Senator Biden, the vice presidential candidate on the ticket with Senator Obama, Ifill can not be unbiased in her duties as moderator. (more…)

Celebrities say”DON’T VOTE!” New Voting Ad Uses Reverse Psychology

Oct 02, 2008 in You think so

A new five minute ad featuring many celebrity entertainers uses reverse psychology to urge those who are eligible to register to vote in the general election on Tuesday, November 4, 2008. We think this is a clever and worthwhile commercial. We realize for some citizens nothing short of blasting caps will get them off the sofa to go out and vote. We really hope this initiative works. Take a look…. (more…)

McCain Is A Bettin’ Man What Say You Relgious Right?

Sep 29, 2008 in You think so

There are new reports from the weekend that John McCain’s campaign is full of gaming industry lobbyists and gaming industry big players…we wonder what the religious right has to say about this new disclosure? Will they continue to support McCain because he’s not black?

STOP The Plunder! Call Your Representatives Say No To The Bailout!

Sep 29, 2008 in You think so

CALL your Senators and Representative right now to say “No $700 Billion Bailout for Wall Street” – dial the Capitol switchboard at 800-473-6711 or 202-224-3121

    Email Senators and House Representatives

    From CREDO and Democrats.com

“After a week of high-drama negotiations, Congress and Hank Paulson issued Bailout version 1.1, which is just the original Paulson pig with a lot of lipstick.

Treasury Secretary Henry Paulson’s Plan to Bailout Wall Street

Republicans say the deal will be profitable for taxpayers, but they are lying – just as they did about the invasion of Iraq producing lower gas prices. It’s a lie because Paulson has full power to pay too much for the securities and he will because his real goal is a bailout of bank executives and shareholders with our money – a massive ($2,333 per person!) transfer of wealth from the poor and middle class to the rich.

Democrats say they got oversight, accountability, and limits on executive compensation but each of these provisions is so full of Republican-written loopholes that they are meaningless – just like all other restrictions imposed on the Bush Administration, from Iraq to wiretapping. And that’s before Bush simply negates any restrictions he doesn’t like with one of his unconstitutional (and hence impeachable) signing statements.

So our answer remains ABSOLUTELY NOT.

The House will vote on Monday and the Senate will vote on Wednesday. ”

Read what MARDU says about the bailout.

Presidential Debate Highlight: McCain Loses Temper

Sep 27, 2008 in You think so

Listen closely you can hear JMack swearin’ “horseshit! horseshit!” as he gets properly spanked by Senator Obama for making the gaffe about meeting with Spain.

We do not want a president who can not modify his behavior; a leader who can not control his temper in a public forum. Good old John McCain’s decision to swear during the response from Senator Obama is rude and very un-presidential!

Sarah The Terrah She’s A Very Scary Person

Sep 27, 2008 in You think so

Now that we know who her campaign speech coach is we can watch the fruit of her labor as Jack Cafferty of CNN provides his take on the interview conducted by Katie Couric of CBS News.
The segment showing Palin’s response could almost play as comedy if it weren’t a serious political interview.

Jack Cafferty is right on. All you RePUGlican apologists need not apologize for her performance. Your time is better spent asking her to resign from the ticket.

Note to Palin: If you’ve seen this footage, please reconsider your position. Be a true patriot and resign from the ticket.

Obama Is Right McCain Is Wrong….again

Sep 27, 2008 in You think so

We liked this segment of last night’s first presidential debate. We knew Senator Obama was correct when he called to our attention the fact McCain’s predictions on how successful the Iraq war would
    be were just plain wrong.
“John you act like the war started in 2007.” That’s a classic line for us. It’s points out the fact McCain indeed is suffering from an onset of Old Timers disease. Watch the video.

Republican John McCain Wins Election!…Rigs Voting Machines For Wrong Day

Sep 26, 2008 in comedy, You think so

Friday Night, September 26, 2008 Pre-Mature Election Results
    From the McCain Campaign

John McCain had a decisive win tonight.  He collected the majority of the votes cast nationwide. He led Senator Obama by fifty-two percent to forty-eight percent.

    jmack-wins.jpg

He began celebrating immediately, but unfortunately that celebration was cut short when Joe Lieberman came over to whisper in his ear, “The election is not until tomorrow.” To which McCain said, “You mean we have to rig the voting machines all over again?” (more…)
