Arthur C. Clarke  author of “2001 a Space Odyssey” died Wednesday in Colombo, Sri Lanka. Clarke had lived in Sri Lanka for more than 50 years.

Clarke was credited by the late Gene Roddenberry, creator of “Star Trek” with providing him the courage to pursue that project despite ridicule and indifference from television executives.

Clarke was knighted by Queen Elizabeth II in 1998 and enjoyed great success as a writer who popularized science to the general public. Many American astronauts and Russian cosmonauts developed their interest in space exploration because of having read Clarke’s books.

Although the video we are about to share with is meant to be satirical in its proposition, when we consider the actions of the president over the past 8 years this is something that could become a reality. The possibility is disturbing.

All jokes aside this scandal involving the former governor of New York Eliot Spitzer gives us cause to wonder why we the people have not addressed the matter of George W. Bush and Dick Cheney and the rest of the BushCo crowd’s “high”crimes?

What is interesting to note about the Spitzer matter, aka “Client Number 9” is that

Former Senator Howard Metzenbaum, an Ohio Democrat, known as a courageous self-made millionaire before he began a long career fighting big business in the Senate, died Wednesday night. He was 90.

The senator died at his home in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. The  cause of death has not been disclosed.

Metzenbaum, a former labor lawyer who following his 1995 retirement from the senate, became the head of the Consumer Federation of America.

There’s Love Potion #9. Many of you know the Beatles recording with the lyric repeated “Number nine, number nine.”And now fellow Americans we have Eliot Spitzer,  to be forever known as Client number 9.

Governor Spitzer has been secluded from the media as he is said to be developing a resignation plan. We’re wondering if the former governor of New Jersey, Jim McGreevey is making suggestions to aid Spitzer in his plans to leave office ?

Eliot Spitzer is the reason why people in glass houses should buy insurance!

Let this be a lesson to future politicos…we Americans can hardly stomach a sinner. We absolutely can not tolerate a deceiver and a hypocrite…so have we not done something about George Bush??
