David Vincent New Contributor Introduction By Clark Dark
Clark Dark here to announce, David Vincent our newest contributor at YouThinkWhat. David will provide his perspective on politics and other fascinating subjects.

Here’s David Vincent in his own words. “I was brought up on the southside of Chicago, the last of six children, there was no shortage of talk of Kennedy, Nixon, Carter, Reagan, Bush and Clinton around the ever-expanding dinner table.
The son of a neonatal nurse and industrial psychologist (the first year Loyal University handed out doctorates in the subject), brother of a lawyer, physical therapist and two teachers, there never seemed an absence of socio-political concerns to “solve” in our middle class, conscience-toting way. Big liberal catholic families carry big catholic crosses, so social justice and the rights of the laborer, the educator, and the farmer propelled these lengthy discussions forward, usually between ‘pass the rolls’ and ‘where’s the gravy?’.
With the dawn of 24/7 info-tainment cycle presently dominating schools, by-ways and highways; the blackberry text message, cell phone vibrator along with access to 300 channel hi-definition television, all rendering their nightly assault on thoughtful discussion of issues from war to local recycling drives, David believes we have been transformed, even deluded, into being a society with a great deal of information serving no practical good, having very little pragmatic knowledge. We are a society that cares even less. The problems associated with health care, the death penalty, school funding meant more than headlines in the Tribune or New York Times; these were issues lived out, literally, in our respective adult lives.
Writing and thinking each day allows me to be a person.”
Welcome David Vincent by reading his thoughts in the next post.
