Demetricia C. Patterson Foundation Provides Prescription Meds For Central Florida Seniors
Three months ago, under the guidance of Demetricia Patterson, Consignment Furniture Etc. opened its doors with its mission to provide one half of the profits toward funding a foundation which gives drug assistance to senior citizens.
Demetricia Patterson is the owner of the consignment store and the creator of the Demetricia C. Patterson Foundation, a non-profit drug assistance program for people age fifty plus.
Ms Patterson says she established the foundation because she has witnessed people in her community who must choose between purchasing necessary medication or buying food.
Ms Patterson says she is dedicated to this cause because many of the people who have to choose between food or medicine are those who helped her in her youth growing up in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. “My heart is full. I have so much gratitude,” says Patterson who helps her older friends with rides, meals and companionship
The Patterson Foundation provides prescription medications for seniors who are afflicted with medical conditions such as heart disease, hypertension, HIV/AIDS, diabetes or cancer.
Donations can be sent by USPS to P.O. Box 1323, New Smyrna Beach, Florida 32170. All donations are tax exempt.
