Get Caught Carrying Too Many Condoms in New York, San Francisco Or D.C. May Result in Arrest For Prostitution

Activist writers in the blogesphere are up in arms about regulations spreading across the country allowing the number of condoms carried by a man or woman to determine if a person is prostitute.
We recognize these laws are targeted at the mostly female population who are employed as sex workers. Everyone knows it’s a rare john who brings protection and if he does he is concluded to be someone looking for gay sex.
The self-righteous city officials and law enforcement professionals of New York, San Francisco and Washington, D.C. along with those in certain cities in Nevada, claim condoms in the purse or on the person means that individual is selling sex. Law enforcement authorities take the use of condoms and other safe sex devices as evidence to often justify arresting or prosecuting someone for prostitution. They are also known to confiscate
and destroy condoms and other safe sex materials found in the possession of health care workers who administer to the street sex workers..
In our opinion a sex worker who has the public’s health safety in mind by using condoms is far more desirable than some gendarme who wishes to make the individual vulnerable to death and disease by taking away their protective work gear.
We say legalize prostitution. After all– anyone who is employed as a sex worker is at least employed.
