U.S. Congress: We The People Want Universal Health Care And We Want It NOW!
All right all you representatives of the hometown folk. Listen up and listen well. This is Blanche Africa Reilly Dark speaking for the millions who are without insurance. We Want Universal Health Care With the Public Single Payer Option And We Want It Now!We’re done with the silly talk about death panels and other foolish conversations that serve only to distract from the heart of the matter.
The fact is, a great country does not provide health care for the very people who are the reasons the United States of America is renown for being great!
Millions of citizens are without insurance. Living without health insurance is detrimental to anyone’s health.
This fact is a moral disgrace! It reeks of the kind of moral depravity we’ve read about in ancient times.
Late last night one of the most influential men in the U.S. Senate, a man who has spent the last forty years of his life working to secure the rights–economic, health care and civil, for minorities and the less fortunate, died.
Senator Ted Kennedy of Massachusetts always a passionate advocate for universal health care in this country declared last summer in Denver Colorado at the meeting of the Democratic National Convention, the issue of universal health care is the “cause of his life”. He worked tirelessly for the passage of the legislation that will provide coverage for an estimated 46 million people for are now at health risk.
We urge all the congressional representatives, Democrat and Republican alike to do whatever is necessary to pass this important bill with the single payer option. Honor Ted Kennedy’s dedication to helping the less fortunate. We want coverage and we want it NOW!
Your tenure in the United States Senate or the House of Representatives will definitely depend on how you vote on the universal health care bill. Make no mistake about that!
Where you stand on this matter, how you vote will be a major consideration as to whether or not you remain a player in the nation’s capital.
Take action to insure you are not among the future unemployed–we’ve heard this economic downturn may continue for a couple more years.
Our lives and the lives of our children depend on the passage of this bill. The future of our nation is dependent on strong, healthy citizens.
