Olympic Torch Lighting in Beijing China, Friday August 8, 2008

    Aug 08, 2008 in Olympics 2008

The lighting of the Olympic torch, the symbol of the games, is always a breath-taking event.

This year is no exception. Watch the video. This year’s lighting ceremony was one of the most innovative celebrations we’ve ever seen….and the fireworks display was spectacular despite concerns the possibility the display may have been obscured by pollution the Chinese government calls “haze”.

    Watch and enjoy!

David Vincent: “Voting People Are Responsible”~Part 6

    Aug 08, 2008 in Uncategorized

Part 6 the conclusion, “Voting People Are Responsible” by David Vincent.

    dave-vincent-chitown.jpg

True freedom from torture, wiretapping, invasion of privacy, bloated defense bureaucracies and bogus wars was available. True freedom from monetary appropriations and economic endangerment was around the corner. Strengthening our country and its future by bringing most of our troops home was on the horizon. True freedom from reckless assessments,
savings-depleting taxes, over-reaching government action, domestically and internationally, was in our grasp. (more…)

David Vincent: “Voting People Are Responsible”~Part 5

    Aug 08, 2008 in Uncategorized

“Voting People Are Responsible” continues with Part 5 of an article from new contributing writer David Vincent, whose hometown is Chicago.

    dave-vincent-chitown-2.jpg

Now to Democrat Barack Obama. If he can’t expose the set-up nature of 9/11 and its implications, then he has no business being president. If John Cusack and Colin Powell can comprehend this “non-fact” fact, then Obama must vote and react like he gets it, too.

The Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act (FISA) just carries on the wiretapping, invasion of basic privacies by the government, its agencies and phone companies with outright impunity. Obama voted to continue this. He is also pushing for troops to be deployed in Afghanistan and Pakistan to fight “terrorism” there (?) But, there is no need if both of these wars are a direct product of the Bush/Cheney/Wahabbist 9/11 machinations and collaboration in the first place. There is no need for troops or wars in any of these places. There is no need for any American troops in any part of the Middle East, including Israel. $1 billion a week is not enough? We need to risk troops there, too? Isn’t that what caused all the “terrorism” and resentment in the first place? (more…)

The Obama Tire Pressure Gauge Meets The JackMc Drill

    Aug 07, 2008 in Uncategorized

In response to John McCain’s campaign fund raising efforts using the so-called “Obama Tire Pressure Gauge” as a gift for contributions of $25 or more to the old-guy-with-white-hair’s quest for the White House, the creative minds at YouThinkWhat present the “McCain Drill”.

Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Qin Gang Responds To Bush

    Aug 07, 2008 in Uncategorized

Well wouldn’t you know it while en route,  to the Olympic Games in China, during a stop in Thailand, our President Dubya had to go mouthin’ off to the Chinese about human rights and abuse issues.

Once again the United States, in the persona of George Walker Bush, in its role as world-class, and we do mean world-class, planetary bully of all nations, even the ones that can kick U.S. behinds in a New York second, has opened mouth and inserted both feet. Early today while in Thailand the current pResident of the White House stated Washington firmly opposes China’s detention of political, rights and religious activists. Yes it’s a case of Mr. Pot callin’ out Mr. Kettle.

Our government needs to stop behaving like a nosy in-law or abusive spouse. In all relationships from student-teacher connections, spousal relationships, boss-employer associations, to first world, greedy over-developed world-domination-is -number-one-priority and sovereign third world underdeveloped banana republic nation relations, it can be unanimously agreed No One Likes A Bully! David Vincent: “Voting People Are Responsible”~Part 4

    Aug 07, 2008 in Uncategorized

    So fast-forward to now.

    dave-vincent-chitown-2.jpg

Republican John McCain wants to hang out in the Middle East for a very long time. He thinks he’s healing Vietnam wounds or maybe just following the easy path to succeed the Bush/Cheney play book in lieu of no better ideas coming to mind. Really, whatever. Insignificant. This is to be expected from a man who apparently has less intellect to work with than the incumbent. If you like your tax dollars supporting more weapons, defense and corporate subsidies, John McCain’s your man. The lucrative homeland security industry, domestic spying and surveillance industries also keep the gravy train rolling in. Far be it from him to support the GI Bill that funds military hospitals, gives soldiers, sailors and Marines increased monthly health benefits, monetary raises for cost of living, and actually takes care of their families when they are seriously wounded, disabled or die. And he’s a tortured Veteran? He’s become an old clown, for the most part. (more…)

David Vincent: “Voting People Are Responsible”~Part 3

    Aug 07, 2008 in Uncategorized

YouThinkWhat presents another installment of David Vincent’s  article.

    dave-vincent-chitown.jpg

Piece that together with the building engineers and demolition architects who stated unequivocally that a series of precise multiple detonations must occur in a most controlled way to produce two completely obliterated massive structures like the twin towers. More strikingly, they have gone on record stating, “there is no way the core infra-structures of these buildings could be obliterated so wholly and completely without an extensive system of demolition aides detonated in a system or web of detonation systems in place.” (more…)

New Contributor David Vincent: “Voting People Are Responsible”~Part 2

    Aug 06, 2008 in Uncategorized

More from our newest writer David Vincent. Here is the second installment of his article
    “Voting People Are Responsible”.

    dave-vincent-chitown.jpg

President Bush and his Vice President Cheney have an explicit distaste, which some have characterized formally in news articles as “hatred”, for New York. It has been reported they have described it at times as a “liberal, Times-loving cesspool of immigrants, minorities and too powerful Jews” This is well documented in Bush statements as Governor of Texas and from Cheney’s statements back when he was advising Reagan. New Contributing Writer David Vincent: “Voting People Are Responsible”~Part 1

    Aug 06, 2008 in Uncategorized

Henry Gandolph for YouThinkWhat. I’m here to present our newest contributor David Vincent
The following 6 part article is David’s inaugural piece for YouThinkWhat. We hope you will read with great interest the fascinating thoughts of Mr. Vincent.

People trading stocks, doing research or studying for advanced degrees are called first to look at empirical data. Personal analysis moves forward as a result. Hopefully, that is what academics and the school of hard knocks advancement is all about – creating the prototypic American education.
So why should voting require less intellectual rigor than, say, a continuing education course for your career? (more…)
