Chinese Foreign Ministry Spokesman Qin Gang Responds To Bush
Well wouldn’t you know it while en route, to the Olympic Games in China, during a stop in Thailand, our President Dubya had to go mouthin’ off to the Chinese about human rights and abuse issues.
Once again the United States, in the persona of George Walker Bush, in its role as world-class, and we do mean world-class, planetary bully of all nations, even the ones that can kick U.S. behinds in a New York second, has opened mouth and inserted both feet. Early today while in Thailand the current pResident of the White House stated Washington firmly opposes China’s detention of political, rights and religious activists. Yes it’s a case of Mr. Pot callin’ out Mr. Kettle.
Our government needs to stop behaving like a nosy in-law or abusive spouse. In all relationships from student-teacher connections, spousal relationships, boss-employer associations, to first world, greedy over-developed world-domination-is -number-one-priority and sovereign third world underdeveloped banana republic nation relations, it can be unanimously agreed No One Likes A Bully!
That being said read the remarks, presented here, of the Chines Foreign Ministry spokesman Qin Gang. As you do give consideration to viewing the world situation from the eyes of the other guy and remember no one likes an abusive partner. No one wants an abusive relationship, and most import No One Likes A Bully!
Qin Gang, Chinese government spokesman’s remarks in response to criticism of Chinese human rights violations from GWB on as translated by the Associated Press, an American news organization.
“With the common efforts made both by China and the U.S., the Sino-U.S. relationship has developed steadily in the last few years. The two countries have conducted fruitful talks, communication and cooperation bilaterally and on a range of international issues. Facts prove again that although there are divergences between China and the U.S., there is a wide range of common interests, and a basis for cooperation. A good Sino-U.S. relationship is a benefit to the people of both countries, and helps peace and stability in the Asia-Pacific region and throughout the whole world.
We are willing to work together with the U.S. on strengthening dialogue and cooperation, appropriately dealing with divergences and sensitive issues and helping the relations to develop constructively and stably.
The Chinese government puts people first, and is dedicated to maintaining and promoting its citizens’ basic rights and freedom. Chinese citizens have freedom of religion. These are indisputable facts.
As for the divergence on human rights and religions, we always advocate that both sides talk from a basis of mutual respect and equality, to enhance understanding and diminish divergence, and enlarge mutual consensus.
We firmly oppose any words or acts that interfere in other countries’ internal affairs, using human rights and religion and other issues.”
For those who do not comprehend, as it is apparent our government does not, the Chinese officials are saying to the U.S. “Mind your own business.” MYOB is not a new directive. It was recently stated by the Iranian President Ahmadinejad in a rare television interview with NBC’s Nightly News anchorman Brian Williams.
We are grateful for modern technology which allows us to read, see, as well as hear for ourselves what opinions the other members of the world community hold of our American government foreign policy. We hope the voting public will use this information to choose a president who, with his administrators, will provide a better image for the world.
