Following the attack on the U.S. Naval fleet in Hawaii that fateful Sunday morning in December 1941, the United States of America entered World War II.
There are fewer than ever veterans alive today who survived the attack that took place more than 60 years ago.
The then president, Franklin D. Roosevelt said it would be a day that would live in infamy. As the years march on it’s an infamous day that has been replaced in our remembrance by other days denoting infamous tragedy and so the date December 7, 1941, 66 years ago fades from our national memory.
