The ultimate Michael Jackson souvenir, the very first glitter glove, will be featured at an auction scheduled for November 21, 2009 in New York City at the Hard Rock Cafe on Times Square.This glove was made for the left hand unlike the others made for his right hand. The glove is a modified store bought glove decorated with a mesh of rhinestones. The other gloves that followed were festooned with hand sewn crystals.

The glove was a gift to Walter “Clyde” Orange of the Commodores back in 1983 at the Motown 25 tee vee celebration when Michael debuted the glove and his innovative version of the urban dance step, the moonwalk.

Orange says he hopes the glove will find a home in the Rock And Roll  Hall of Fame for everyone to see the accessory that accompanied Jackson as he catapulted to international fame as a solo act.
