U.S. of A. Name Change Proposal: United Secret States of America
“The government today announced it is changing its national symbol to a condom because it more accurately reflects the government’s political policies.
A condom allows for inflation, halts production, destroys future generations, protects a bunch of pricks and provides a sense of security while you’re being screwed, and often breaks down just when you need it most.” ~ Joke found on the Internet, posted September 2007
Although irreverent we think the joke is a funny one.
We further propose the United States of America change its name to the United Secret States of America.
The world of empty promises, or we don’t believe a word you’ve said. Everything that is done is done in secret. Everything that is promised to be done that is not done is done in public. Created, made secret foreign policy related meetings that likely never occurred. At this point, now a dozen years past the destruction of the World Trade Center in New York City on September 11, 2001, we are not likely to believe any of what the government is telling us. If we the people were gullible to accept, some say we are easy to convince; since we had assented to the official story in order to live without being in contention with our nation’s government.
Everything that is done is done in secret. Everything that is promised to be done that is not done is done in public. Today, in the 21st Century, people even attend a Secret Policeman’s Ball.
Since that horrible day in September, often referred to as our Boomer Generation’s Pearl Harbor, typically when asked what’s going to happen..the answer is who knows, all the while clandestinely strategically, arranging, organizing to attempt to successfully manipulate what will happen in the future. That was during the President Dubya administration.
Our current *President George W. Obama does the opposite of what he says. In this regard he has proven himself to be very reliable.
*Many people believe they successfully elected Barack Hussein Obama. Not so folks. The man hasn’t been who he said he was when he campaigned the first time. The truth is the same for the second time. We’ve been part of a bait and switch transaction.
We must give credit where credit is due. He did keep at least one campaign promise: Change and Hope. We’re hoping this accidental diplomacy situation in Syria, along with other foreign policy campaigns as well as all domestic issues, Change for the better and we Hope our national circumstances do not get worse. Reminds us of the French phrase the more things change the more things stay the same.
Speaking in London on Monday, September 9, 2013, Secretary of State John Kerry surprised the world when he said Syria could hand over its entire stockpile of chemical weapons in one week in order to avoid a U.S. attack. It was still more surprising when Russia and Syria quickly backed the idea, as did officials at the United Nations.
New and improved United States of America…If not for the Russia president,Vladamir Putin, who with a well timed, unprecedented public relations coup, who once again presented his country as the new bastion of human rights, (‘member Edward Snowden the former NSA employee turned patriotic whistleblower who requested and received temporary political asylum in Russia), by pointing out the shortcomings the United States in a venerated publication, his New York Times Op-ed piece debut..how the nation appears to the rest of the world. B-U-L-L-Y. That’s the word to describe how our allies perceive our military actions in response to issues easily resolved using diplomatic skills rather than violence.
Regular visitors to this blog have seen us share Mark Fiore animated cartoons before. This one is from 2009. We believe it properly gives background to our current day assessment of our president’s performance. Is he doing a good job? We think not.
