Attention Walmart Shoppers! Number One In Customer DISsatisfaction
Of all the negative reports about Walmart, we are not surprised by this recent report from the web site 24/7 Wall St.
Seems the retailer, considered to be the largest retailer in the US, is number one in providing bad customer service.
We’re thinking this may be the level of service being exported around the world by this large retail corporation. It’s the standard by which all other big stores offering discounts is measured.
The American Consumer Satisfaction Index, (ACSI), is an economic indicator measuring the satisfaction of consumers across the U.S. economy.
In the results of its most recent survey…ta-da! Walmart beat the competition. No other retailer received a lower rating.
“Among all retailers rated by the ACSI for customer satisfaction, none received a worse score than the 71 for Walmart Stores Inc. (NYSE: WMT), which it received from the ACSI when it was graded as a department and discount store.” ~ excerpted from ACSI survey results for Walmart customer satisfaction
We appreciate the fact there are numerous dedicated employees who provide outstanding service at Walmart Stores across the country. We recognize how difficult it is to do so when the conditions under which they work are tantamount to being slave labor.
We congratulate the workers who attempt to give the best service they can under the circumstances.
We condemn the executives at the top, the middle management and the lower level supervisors who all together constitute the reasons Walmart
is Number One in customer Diss-Satisfaction. We consider it disrespectful to provide anything less than outstanding customer service. When a corporation abuses both its internal customers as well as its external customers it is totally unacceptable. It is galling to know both are being dissed. In the mean time, Walmart, while raking in billions of dollars, has the expectation of loyalty from both its customers and employees, as it continues to disrespect both groups.
Shame on you Mike Duke, Walmart President and Chief Executive Officer. Your announcement today of the firm’s commitment to 100 percent renewable energy, a goal established to be reached in seven years, is praise worthy.
Your lack of commitment to deliver high quality products at lower prices, along with even better after sale customer service, is deplorable.
