Allan Hancock College Wins Football Home Opener

Congratulations to the the Allan Hancock College football team. The Bulldogs defeated West Hills of Coalinga in a match that left the Hancock opponents devastated 41-24.
Led by sophomore runningback Andre Cirino, of Staten Island, New York, the Bulldog’s offensive line made huge holes in the Coalinga defense amking possible for Cirino to “run wild” rushing for 262 yards on 23 carries. Cirino also scored four touchdowns with his 19 yard TD following a kickoff return on 69 yards.
Congratulations to Ocala, Florida native William Roundtree, also a sophomore, whose performance as defensive tackle on Saturday, September 8th at the season opening game included 14 successful tackles–3 for losses.
After 3 quarters Hancock led 21 to zip. Both teams scored big point during the fourth quarter, but there was never any doubt about the Hancock Bulldogs’ lead being in jeopardy.
We also wish to congratulate freshman defensive linebacker Robert Slater, listed on the team roster as number 34, of Daytona Beach, Florida who is also a proud member of the 1-1 Allan Hancock College football team.
Next time the Bulldogs travel to Culver City on Saturday, Sept. 15 for a 1:00 p.m. game against West Los Angeles. It’s the Western State Conference Mountain Division opener for both teams. West L.A. is so far this season twice defeated. They lost last week to Desest, 49-16.
