Sarah Palin. You either love her or hate her. She is often the butt of liberal leftist jokes like the one that goes “How do you make Sarah Palin’s eyes shine? Shine a flashlight in her ears!”
The story of how two Canadian comics made a phone call to La Palin wherein she gushed as she spoke to a man with a fake French accent as he was introducing himself as French president Nicholas Sarkozy is just one more example of how a woman who came from the wooded frozen tundra of Alaska is not ready for prime time politics.Canadian politicians get prank calls from comedians all the time.
As you will hear in the recording of the phone call neither Republican number two candidate Palin nor her crew, er, staff know anything about politics even though they are deeply involved in the finals days of a national campaign. Any alert staffer would know that Sarkozy calling Palin would be a remote possibility because the man has endorse Senator Barack Obama the Democrat candidate.
Gosh darn Sarah can you hire someone to effectively professionally screen your calls? Sounds like in the final days of the campaign you’ve been abandoned by the Bush team. Even they would not be such gullible rubes.
There were several indications throughout the call that this was not a genuine call from a foreign dignitary. The most telling was the fake Sarkozy’s comment about “the documentary Nailin’ Palin”, a reference to the Hustle Larry Flint production of a porno spoof about Palin.
Maybe she was having trouble understanding him. As you listen to the call you may agree. He does talk funny and he is hard to understand.
For the sake of the Canadians we hope McCain and Palin are not elected.
