Senator Jospeh Lieberman What Party Are You In?

Senator Joe Lieberman from Connecticut describes himself as an “independent Democrat”. We never heard of that party. Is there such an organization?
How is it possible the leaders of the Democratic Party in the senate permit the senator from Connecticut to caucus with them and then run off accompanying the presumptive candidate of the Republican Party? Lieberman has recently stated:
“In my opinion, the choice could not be more clear: between one candidate, John McCain, who’s had experience, been tested in war and tried in peace, another candidate who has not. Between one candidate, John McCain, who has always put the country first, worked across party lines to get things done, and one candidate who has not.”
Is Lieberman really saying Obama is the Islamic candidate? What goes on here? Fence straddling can be dangerous to one’s health. Unsuccessful fence straddling may cause loss of balance, a slip and serious injury. Get off the fence. Choose a party. No more hedging your bet.
That is what we think Senator Lieberman is doing.
