Shawn R. Jones Poetry Update: Noyes Museum Reading and Book Signing
Here’s an update on Shawn R. Jones, author of the new chapbook Womb Rain released by FinishingLine Press May 9, 2008:
Shawn R. Jones will be reading and signing copies of her new book at the Noyes Museum, Oceanville, New Jersey along with another FinishingLinePress author Rachel Bunting, who will also be reading and signing copies of Ripe Again, on Sunday, June 22, 2008, 1:30PM until 3PM.
Both poets are from New Jersey. Rachel Bunting is born and bred in South Jersey. She’s currently living between the Pine Barrens and the Delaware River. Her poems have appeared in Boxcar Poetry Review, Wicked Alice, US1 Worksheets and the Journal of NJ Poets.
Shawn R. Jones, the creator of Womb Rain-Now On Sale, is a graduate of Atlantic City High School, and Rutgers University-Camden. Shawn owns a tutoring business, she also teaches jazz at Halliday Dance in Pennsauken, New Jersey, as well as fulfilling duties as a wife and mother to both a son and a daughter. Her poem, “Black Pearl” appeared in the April 2007 issue of Essence Magazine.
You are encouraged to be there in support of these talented young women. This event is no charge with regular admission. Members of the Noyes will be admitted free of charge, however pre-registration for the booksigning and reading is requested.Bring the entire family. Parking is free and the museum administration says buses are welcome. We’re certain Rachel and Shawn would love to see you there!
