Rumors and speculation were rampant last week as the political demise of Republican Fred Thompson was analyzed and reexamined by the talking heads, those pundits who rehash every event as though it were as important as the second coming.
Comments included statements such as Thompson’s wife was too much of an interfering witch who threatened to dismiss the entire Thompson campaign crew just days before the South Carolina primary. Others said it was Thompson, himself, who was slow to latch on to the excitement of being a presidential candidate and all the activities associated with the task, among them actually hitting the grueling campaign trail. Sadly for Fred Thompson and company he lost the primary in South Carolina. Souse Kackylacky marked the end of the line for Fred Thompson. It’s hit the long and dusty back home for Fred the actor who would be president.
